The voice of home care in Ontario

As the battle against COVID-19 continues we decided to spotlight yet another home care related group, which we are proud to say also happens to be the association of which several of our home care clients are members.

Home Care Ontario is a membership association representing providers of home care services throughout Ontario. This Association advocates for the creation of a strong, reliable and accessible home care system that supports all Ontarians and their home health care issues.

Members of this association adhere to Home Care Ontario standards and expectations that distinguish them as service provider organizations. Home Care Ontario provides members with tools and resources to help them excel and is the leading source of information on and/or about home care in the province.

Their website is filled with home care reports, news, and events specific to home care in Ontario. Families can use these resources to learn about how home care works and find members in their community to assist them with their care needs for a loved one.

Members & Memberships

In addition to providing a comprehensive list of various members that provide home care workers, they also list the various accomplishments that each of these members have. They also have an extensive list of benefits for home care companies that are interested in becoming members of this association.

Some of the benefits include:

• Strategic Advice – members receive advance notice of emerging issues including: government policy changes affecting service delivery; consumer trends affecting privately purchased home and social care services; safety and environmental issues affecting care; and, employment / labour practices affecting health human resources.
