Big Ideas for Small Business
Helping small business to grow in this economic climate is obviously an important pre-occupation for many of us.
A while back a couple of entrepreneurial types in the Hamilton area, Letty Rodriguez and Steve Clark approached us about participating in a small business development evening that really appeared to have a lot of substance. We’ve been to a number of these conferences and often their purpose is to sell their services to you. This one is different. It has an inspiring amount of content and every bit of the content is aimed at helping folks to access knowledge and expertise, grow their bottom line and network for success.
My partner John Janisse and I (Chris Grabiec) agreed to give one of the presentations. We called it “Websites: Waste of Money or Money Maker?” The answer is “yes”. Hmmm…I guess you’ll have to hear our presentation to understand what I mean!
Troy Treleaven a well know Business coach is giving a presentation entitled “How to Engineer the Business you really want”.
Trina Wilson a Mohawk College Lecturer, will be talking about “Promote, Advertise, and Brand your way to Success”.
Cameron Nolan, a well known Real Estate Broker in Hamilton-Halton, who is also President of the Hamilton Realtor’s Assocation will be giving a great presentation on: “Your Biggest Sale: Valuing and Selling your Business:”
Finally Jeff Romansky a Senior Sales Consultant with RBC Insurance will give a presentation entitled: “Money does not Grow on Trees: Illness, Disability, and Income Protection”.
Each of these presentations are an important part of the puzzle which when put together will help map the path to a successful and growing business. Interestingly, all of the speakers are really willing to share their expertise and cumulative experience for the benefit of those participating. There will be lots of interaction through out this entire evening.
Dinner included in this evening and the price is only $100.00. You can register by contacting Letty Rodriguez at 905.547.0730.
These kinds of events, priced this well, do not come around very often. The speakers are high caliber and very experienced. The event promises to really benefit a large group of participants who genuinely wish to begin or to grow a business in this community and beyond.
I know I’m presenting, but I’m happy to write about it, because the whole concept excites me. I wish something like this was around when John and I started our company in 1994!
If you’re young and want to figure out how to start up an enterprise – you need to come. If you are out of work, and are looking at entering the world of business – you need to come. If you are in business and need a boost – then this is the conference for you. Hope to see you there.
By the way – it’s being held at the Renaissance Banquet Hall, in Hamilton.
